Singaporean pianist William Wei, hailed for his expressive touch and commanding stage presence, returns home to perform Chopin’s First Piano Concerto, a youthful masterpiece lush with poetry, beauty and virtuosic brilliance.
Also featured is the world premiere of Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Symphony, a bold reimagining of the well-loved Peking opera through the Western symphonic lens, rich in drama, elegance, and cultural resonance. Singaporean Felix Phang’s Pasat Merdu, a vibrant musical tapestry that captures the colour and rhythm of Southeast Asian life, completes the program.
